How to Print Coloring Pages at Home

You do not need a special printer or fancy paper to get started. Match the PDF to your paper, check the preview, and print one test page before making a stack.

Choose the PDF that matches your paper

US Letter measures 8.5 × 11 inches and is the standard choice for US home printers. A4 measures 210 × 297 mm. MomoMango’s free packs are available in both sizes, so choose the one loaded in your printer. Mixing the formats can make the printer shrink the page or clip an edge.

Download the PDF and open it in your usual PDF viewer. Printing the whole webpage adds menus and other content; use the printable file instead.

Check scaling and orientation

Use portrait orientation and check the print preview. Start with Actual size or 100% when the PDF and paper match. If your printer warns about margins or the preview cuts off a line, choose Fit to printable area. Our packs include a generous white margin, but printers differ.

Print one page first. Check that the scene fits, the lines are clear, and the page number is visible. Then print the remaining sheets or the number of copies you need.

Keep the ink where the coloring belongs

Select black-and-white or grayscale in the printer settings. The downloadable sheets use black outlines on white rather than full-color backgrounds. If draft mode makes the outlines faint, use the normal quality setting.

Ordinary printer paper is a useful starting point for crayons and colored pencils. For markers, try thicker paper that your printer supports and put a spare sheet underneath to protect the table.

Make a little booklet

Single-sided pages give markers a spare back surface and keep the maze solution separate from the next picture. Put the sheets in a folder, clip them together, or ask an adult to staple along the left edge.

Let your child choose the order. They can write a title on a blank cover and add their name without needing an account or uploading a photo.

If something does not look right

A blank sheet can mean the wrong page range was selected. Cropped edges usually need a scaling adjustment. Faint lines may need a normal-quality setting or a printer ink check. If the browser’s print panel is confusing, save the PDF and open it in a separate viewer.

Keep the original file so you can return to it. Free packs can be printed for personal, classroom, and other non-commercial use; link to the collection when sharing with another family.
