My very own planet

What would grow on your planet? Who would live there? Draw a new little world and give it a name.

A PAGE IS JUST THE BEGINNING

A few little ways
to play.

Start with the printable. See where their imagination takes it.

01

Plan a moon picnic

After coloring, ask your child what they would pack for a pretend picnic in space. Draw the three most important things around their invented planet.

02

Let siblings make a solar system

Give each child a drawing page. Arrange their planets on the floor and invent a story that travels between them. A grown-up can write down the names.

03

Make a rocket countdown

Count down together before starting the maze. Younger children can trace with a finger first, then use a pencil when they have found the route.

Easy on your printer. Ready for their crayons.

Use the PDF that matches your paper, print in portrait, and check the preview before you start. Choose “Fit to printable area” if your printer clips the edges. Read our printing guide.

The pack is suggested for ages 4–7; choose the activities that suit your child. Find a comfortable level.

GOOD LITTLE QUESTIONS

A few things you
might be wondering.

Is this a lesson about the solar system?

This is an imaginative activity pack, not a scale model or astronomy worksheet. Children are invited to invent their own planets and stories.

What comes in the space PDF?

You get a rocket-and-astronaut coloring sheet, one maze with a solution on the same sheet for a grown-up to check, and a draw-your-own-planet page.
